Video Workflow Automation/SW Engineer

Job Description:
One of our top clients is supporting a massive Space Gov/Fed agency & is responsible for all telecom, cloud, data center, streaming, and network services across all centers and facilities in the U.S.! This key position will join the Enterprise Video Services group directly supporting upcoming live stream initiatives. With new partnerships from Paramount+, Hulu, etc. – this role will help ensure that the AWS broadcasting and media services are automating and functioning properly for critical groundbreaking initiatives. U.S. Citizen required + active PUBLIC TRUST or higher clearance highly preferred

Requirements:
• 4+ years of software engineering experience focusing on video streaming networks/workflows (CDNS) and or media/live streaming services
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS Media Services or AWS Broadcast (MediaLive, MediaPackage, MediaStore, MediaConvert)
• Hands-on Python scripting experience
• Must be able to obtain Public Trust– federal background check including fingerprinting
• Exposure working for a Government/Federal agency or environment

Nice to have:
• Extensive experience with video streaming protocols – HTTP Live Streaming, DASH
• Experience with video encoding and transcoding technologies (e.g., FFmpeg, x264, H.265).
• AWS Cloud Certifications
• Extensive government/federal agency experience

Responsibilities:
• Workflow Development: Design, develop, and maintain software solutions that automate video distribution workflows, including encoding, transcoding, packaging, and delivery.
• Automation: Implement automated processes to reduce manual intervention and streamline operations, such as background tasks, batch processing, and error handling.
• Optimization: Identify and implement performance optimizations to improve video delivery speed and efficiency.
• Integration: Integrate video workflows with existing systems and platforms, such as content management systems, delivery networks, and analytics tools.
• Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to video workflows and automation.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including product managers, designers, and quality assurance engineers, to ensure successful project delivery.
